MODERN CRAFTSMAN KITCHEN

In this Seattle Craftsman home, the homeowners craved a kitchen that honored the character of their house while reflecting their modern style. We also reworked the layout by repositioning the peninsula, creating a smoother flow throughout the space and improving its functionality. We took the cabinets to the ceiling creating the illusion of a higher ceiling.

To enhance the architectural charm, we exposed the glulam beam, adding warmth and texture overhead. A bold geometric wallpaper frames the newly added pass-through to the coffee bar (formerly the location of the refrigerator) bringing both function and natural light to filter deeper into the kitchen, making the space feel brighter and more connected.

The geometric pattern is echoed in the pendant lighting, tying the design together with a clean, modern edge. The end result is a kitchen that perfectly balances Craftsman character with modern sophistication.
