TRANSITIONAL BATHROOM

LOCATION : DES MOINES, WA

PHOTOGRAPHY : TAYLOR ROBERTS PHOTOGRAPHY

This bathroom began as a compact space shared by the homeowner and their daughter, where functionality and flow were top priorities. Expanding the footprint by just one foot allowed for a full-depth vanity and a more comfortable layout, while a new skylight now bathes the room in soft, natural light.

A wall that once enclosed the shower was replaced with a sleek glass panel featuring an integrated towel bar, instantly creating a more open and airy feel. The homeowners fell in love with the bold, encaustic-inspired tile while rich dark bronze hardware grounds the design and adds warmth to the crisp white finishes and natural wood vanity.

The result is a bathroom that feels fresh, spacious, and full of personality, perfectly balancing form, function, and enduring style.
